CDL/ Local Driver/St Louis, MO

We are seeking dependable CDL Drivers for a full-time delivery position based in St. Louis, MO. Drivers will operate automatic day cabs and straight trucks while completing commercial, residential, warehouse, store, yard, and airport deliveries.

This is a hands-on position involving approximately 90% touch freight, along with some warehouse responsibilities.
CDL Pay: $28.00/hour
Shift: Evening shift starting at 1:00 PM

Duties

Safely operate automatic day cabs or straight trucks.
Complete assigned commercial and residential delivery routes.
Deliver freight to stores, warehouses, yards, residences, businesses, and airports.
Load and unload freight as required.
Handle approximately 90% touch freight.
Safely lift and handle freight weighing up to 50 lbs.
Transport a variety of freight, including some palletized products.
Assemble or disassemble freight when required; training is provided.
Assist with warehouse duties, including pulling assigned freight.
Potentially operate a forklift when qualified and required.
Work with driver helpers when assigned.
Properly secure and protect freight during transportation and delivery.
Follow company safety procedures and applicable transportation regulations.
Maintain professional communication with dispatch and customers

Qualifications

CDL opportunities available.
Ability to safely operate the equipment required for the assigned position.
Comfortable working an evening shift beginning at 1:00 PM.
Ability to safely lift and handle freight weighing up to 50 lbs.
Must be comfortable with a physically active position involving approximately 90% touch freight.
Ability and willingness to load and unload freight.
Willing to perform assembly/disassembly when required.
Comfortable performing some warehouse duties.
Forklift experience or certification is helpful for duties requiring forklift operation.
Must be able to meet airport clearance requirements for airport deliveries.
Willing to work occasional weekends and overtime when needed.
Must successfully complete the required interview and road/yard test.
